Genevieve Beauchamp Wengart

Introduction and Bio

Born in 1985 in the picturesque village of Janvry, France, Genevieve Beauchamp was destined for greatness. Her parents, Michel and Madelaine Brazier Beauchamp, had a deep-rooted passion for winemaking. In 1980, Michel took over the family vineyards, and the first bottles of champagne bearing the Beauchamp name were crafted with loving care.

Genevieve's lineage is nothing short of legendary. Her great-grandmother, Eugénie Brazier, started from humble beginnings as an unwed mother to Madelaine's mother. With sheer determination, Eugénie opened her first restaurant on a shoestring budget and created a powerful legacy. She became the first person ever to be awarded three Michelin stars for two different restaurants simultaneously, a feat that went unmatched for decades.

Inheriting her great-grandmother's grit, talent, and uncompromising standards, Genevieve carried on the legacy of honest, simple, yet exceptionally high-quality food. She had a unique ability to blend traditional dishes with her original recipes, earning her rave reviews. Under her mother's watchful eye, Genevieve quickly rose to the rank of Sous Chef, impressing everyone with her culinary artistry.

Here is a story of Genevieve's Dream Cuisine:

Genevieve Beauchamp stood in the kitchen of Beauchamp Vineyards, her hands trembling slightly as she arranged the final plate.  Tomorrow, she would unveil her new menu—a daring fusion of her family's cherished recipes and her own culinary innovations.  As the gentle pop of a champagne cork echoed from the cellar, she closed her eyes, inhaling the mingled aromas of bubbling Beauchamp brut and her great grandmother Eugenie's signature coq au vin.

That night, as Genevieve drifted off to sleep, her dreams swirled with visions of the past and future.  She found herself in a misty vineyard, where rows of grapevines stretched endlessly.  Her father, Michel, appeared beside her, offering a glass of golden champagne.  "Remember, ma chérie," he said, his voice carried on the breeze, "our legacy is in every bubble."

The scene shifted, and suddenly Genevieve was in her great grandmother Eugénie's kitchen.  The legendary culinarian stood at the stove, stirring a pot of rich, fragrant sauce.  "Taste this," Eugénie urged, offering a spoonful.  As the flavors exploded on Genevieve's tongue, she gasped—it was her own recipe, but somehow imbued with generations of love and tradition.

Genevieve awoke with a start, her heart racing.  The first light of dawn was creeping through her window.  She rushed to her kitchen, grabbed a pen, and began to scribble furiously.  Her dream had shown her the way—a perfect balance of old and new, tradition and innovation.

That evening, as Genevieve presented her menu to a packed restaurant, she felt a sense of calm certainty.  Each dish told a story—of her family's champagne, of her ancestors' culinary prowess, and of her own unique vision.  As the first cork popped and the aroma of her reimagined coq au vin filled the air, Genevieve knew she had found her path.  In her dreams and on the plate, she had created a cuisine that was truly her own—a beautiful blend of legacy and destiny.

Love found Genevieve when she met Marcus Wengart, a Rhodes scholar studying at the Ecolé Nationale Veterinaire de Lyon (ENVL), the world's first veterinary school. Marcus visited the Champagne Beauchamp Winery with his schoolmates and was captivated by the beautiful Genevieve. She invited them to her mother's world-famous French cuisine restaurant, and sparks flew. Genevieve followed Marcus to Seattle, WA, where she and Madelaine opened another French restaurant, inspired by her great-grandmother's renowned "La Mère Brazier."

The couple's love story continued as they purchased a stunning home in Woodinville, WA, known for its wineries and high-end equestrian properties. Marcus's sister, Josette, and her husband, Billy Walters, also joined them in Woodinville after establishing a vineyard in Napa Valley. The families lived close to each other, with frequent visits to their parents' home in Bozeman, MT. Wedding plans quickly took shape, and everyone eagerly anticipated the grand event in Janvry, France, in the spring of 2008.

The Beauchamp Vineyards' massive gazebo was the perfect venue for the joyous occasion. Decorated with white ivory flowers, including roses, lilies, baby's breath, and lemon leaves, the gazebo exuded elegance. Grandmother Julia orchestrated the breathtaking display of love and beauty. The bridesmaids, Josie, Shelli, Bette, and cousin Susan, wore dresses in hues of lemon, tangerine, coral, and peach. Genevieve was radiant in her mermaid-style strapless French lace gown, complete with a glorious train and a long veil adorned with a garland of small white roses, anemones, and baby's breath. The couple honeymooned in the French Alps for three weeks, while their guests enjoyed the Beauchamps' hospitality.

Marcus and Genevieve now live on their 20-acre estate with a stable for six horses, including Marc's Lancelot and Genevieve's Guinevere and their two colts, Beau and Bisou. They also have Daisy the goat and her twin kids, Buttercup and Lilly, along with a pair of Irish Setters, Seamus and Ginger. Genevieve tends to her greenhouse of herbs and edible flowers for her restaurant, while Marc runs his veterinary practice from a large shop with kennels, a barn, and two empty stalls in their stable. Family members frequently visit, enjoying rides on the beautiful equestrian trails surrounding Woodinville.
